Ferrari Explains FF’s 4RM Drivetrain – rpmGo.com

Ferrari FF Drive Train

The latest model launched by Ferrari is the highly-acclaimed FF model, which has been already sold out for its first production year. This unique Ferrari model is a four-passenger shooting-brake that has a massive 6.3-liter V12 engine under the bonnet, a power plant that can output a whopping 651 hp. This entire horsepower is sent to the wheels via the automaker’s all-new 4RM part-time all-wheel-drive system.

Ferrari has assembled a video explaining how the system actually works. Basically, the system metes out torque to each of the four wheels individually. Although it sounds simple, it is a very demanding job since the V12 plant produces 504 pound-feet of the juice.
