Ford announced a special edition of the Ford Focus ST. Called Ford Focus ST Black Edition, the car is powered by Ford’s 2.5-liter 5-cylinders turbo engine which develops 225 HP (166 kw) at 6100 rpm, which, together with the six speed manual box takes the car from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6,8 seconds and to a top of 241 km/h.

There’s no press release available in English, but from the other press releases, it looks like there’s gonna be a connection between this car and the famous K.I.T.T. car from the 1982 American series “Knight Rider”, featuring David Hasselhoff. However, we don’t see any connection with the series, because the car used back then was a Pontiac Trans-Am. So this can mean only one thing. We know that in 2008 the “Knight Rider” movie will hit cinemas, so we assume a Ford will star in this movie (there’s no official info about the movie, because currently it’s in the pre-production phase). But will it be a Ford Focus? C’mon, they can do better than that.
