Hyundai i40 Estate

One of the most attractive estate cars I’ve seen lately is the new Hyundai i40 which is based on the Europe-specific D-segment model. It was designed and engineered at the company’s research and development headquarters in Russelsheim, Germany and it was created in order to fill in the gap left by the outgoing Sonata model.

It will have to face up some serious competition coming from the VW Passat and the Ford Mondeo. Later on this year, The Korean automaker will introduce a four-door sedan i40 which will most likely be exhibited at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

It will go on sale this summer with many engine choices, like a 1.7-liter TDI that has CO2 emissions of only 113 g/km; or a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter.
