Jaguar XKR-S

At the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, the British automaker Jaguar revealed the XKR Speed Pack which was at the moment the fastest XK model ever built. One year after that and the Indian-owned company is back with the XKR-S that is even slicker and powerful, having a more track-focused profile.

It is the most powerful Jaguar ever built; managing to reach a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h) and it needs only 4.2 seconds to do the 0-60 mph sprint. The car will be launched in September and will have a base price of about $157,926 (97,000 pounds / 114,265 Euros).

Under that beautiful bonnet there is a V8 5.0-liter supercharged engine that churns out a whopping 550 hp (410 kW) and 502 lb.-ft (680 Nm) of torque. These great figures still allow the car to emit only 300 g/km of CO2.

The British engineers fitted the XK with a bespoke suspension setup, a custom exhaust, along with exclusive styling elements derived from CFD – Computational Fluid Dynamics modeling and a lot of wind tunnel testing. These new additions include redesigned intakes, rear apron, sills, rear diffuser and a carbon-fiber splitter. The car is now 10mm lower than before and the new wing in the back has a carbon fiber centre section.

In addition, the Jaguar XKR-S has also been fitted with LED headlights, massive 20-inch alloy rims, some exclusive color options and 16-way adjustable memory seats, along with a leaping cat on the boot lid.

I for one never was a fan of Jaguar, but I have to say that this XKR-S looks awesome.
