Mini John Cooper Works S2000

At this year’s 81st edition of the Geneva Motor Show, the BMW-owned Mini introduced the John Cooper Works S2000 WRC. A forerunner to the Mini John Cooper Works WRC, the new model will be driven by Dani Sordo and Kris Meeke, in its first rally race at the Rally Italy which will be organized from 5-8 May 2011.

The car will also participated in other various events that will take place in Germany, Finland, Great Britain, France and Spain. The one exhibited at Geneva will be entered by private teams at the end of this March in the Rally Portugal event.

Mini John Cooper Works S2000

This S2000 has a few elements that will not be available in the WRC rally racer. The WRC model will feature a bigger rear wing, more efficient aerodynamics and ultra-lightweight plastic side windows. For asphalt racing events, the Mini JCW WRC will be fitted with water-cooled brakes for the front axle.
