Geneva 2011 – Renault Captur – rpmGo.com

Renault Captur

Another concept brought by Renault at Geneva this year, besides the R-Space, is the Captur, which we’ve talked about a couple of weeks ago. It follows the same design idea that we first saw on the DeZir concept and features butterfly doors, big 22-inch alloy rims with painted accents as well as LED lightning.

Inside the cabin, the Renault Captur has a string theme that can be seen in the seats and the rear cargo area that doubles as a hammock. It also features aluminum pedals, a translucent dashboard and a head-up display system.

The concept is powered by a twin-turbo Energy dCi 160 engine that produces 158 hp (160 PS / 118 kW) and 280 lb.-ft (380 Nm) of torque, mated to an EDC transmission. The Captur can sprint to 60 mph in 8 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 131 mph (211 km/h).
