Saab 9-5 SportCombi

The Saab 9-5 SportCombi has been introduced this week in Geneva and evokes the automaker’s fighter jet-making heritage. The design of the car, created under the company’s new design director Jason Castriota, features a wraparound rear window, a hockey-stick belt line and those ice-block taillights that we’ve seen in the 9-4X model.

The engine choices will be just about the same as in the sedan model, which means that buyers will be able to choose from a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 217 hp (220 PS / 162 kW), a turbocharged V6 2.8-liter that outputs 296 hp (300 PS / 221 kW) and a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter diesel engine that cranks out 158 hp (160 PS / 118 kW).
