We’ve already praised the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor pickup truck quite a few times, but Hennessey newest version of the off-road ready monster is definitely worth a special look.

After releasing the upgraded VelociRaptor edition, the US tuner has revealed a new modification, the Hennessey VelociRaptor APV SUV.

The company decided to turn the pickup into a full pledged SUV and, just for the kicks, added special armor plating, in case people try to shoot you while you’re blazing through desert dunes and over huge rocks. A special non-armored version will appear in the future, but for an upcoming apocalypse, we prefer the one with armor plating.

At the heart of this new VelociRaptor is a 6.2-liter V8, tuned to develop 575 HP, and, as we’ve seen on the regular VelociRaptor, capable of impressive performance.

Pricing has yet to be revealed, but you can be sure that it’s going to require a bit of a financial effort.

Many car fans, especially Americans, like the example the Shelby Cobra laid out a long time ago, by combining a British-built chassis and an American engine to produce one of the most exciting rides of that time.

Now, that example will be replaced by the Hennessey Venom GT supercar, which has finally been unveiled by the famous tuning company. The British side of things is assured by the chassis of a Lotus Elise, heavily modified, lengthened and stiffened, while the Americans add the General Motors-built supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 V8 engine.

The result of this unlikely combo? A mid-engined supercar capable of developing anywhere from 725 to 1,200 HP, and reaching 62 mph in under 3 seconds.

Let’s elaborate: the Venom GT will be offered by Hennessey in three specs. The “slowest” sees the LS9 optimized to deliver 725 HP with 741 lb-ft of torque, while running on 91-octane fuel. Two other versions are currently being developed, which both see twin-turbochargers added to the LS9. Their outputs range from 1,000 HP and 900 lb-ft of torque, running on 93-octane, while the other develops 1,200 HP and 1,100 lb-ft of torque, with 109-octane fuel.

This massive amount of power will be fed through a Ricardo six-speed gearbox, with programmable traction control, to the rear wheels. In case you’re feeling reluctant to get behind the wheel, Hennessey adds a special “orientation program” for all new buyers with a special test driver, so that you won’t crash the beautiful car. In order to help the handling, a set of Brembo brakes with 15-inch carbon ceramic rotors have been added.

The Hennessey Venom GT will start from $600,000 for the 725 HP variant, and will rise with the power output. For all that cash though you’ll be getting something with a better power to weight ratio than a Bugatti Veyron, and more exclusive, as just 10 will be sold each year.

Ford’s F150 Raptor pick-up truck is an extremely popular vehicle in the USA, but even though it has plenty of grunt for the everyday tasks it needs to do, the tuners at Hennessey believed an increase in power is never a bad thing.

As such, they fitted a Whipple supercharger onto the Raptor’s 5.4-liter V8 engine, taking its power up to 501 HP and 520 lb-ft of torque. The engineers also threw in some other engine mods like a K&N intake, upgraded fuel injectors, a stainless steel exhaust system and, as usual, an updated the ECU for increased performance.

The result is a massive decrease in the 0 to 62 mph time of this new model, dubbed the VelociRaptor 500, from 8.4 to 5.6 seconds. Quarter mile times have also been improved, as the performance pick-up will now be able to sprint it in 14.1 seconds while reaching 97 mph.

In case these features sparked your interest, the full kit costs $10,950, or you opt to have it installed by the guys at Hennessey themselves, for $14,995, which also includes a one-year warranty. In case you’re still not convinced, hit the jump to a video of the Hennessey VelociRaptor 500.

The Cadillac CTS-V is one superb model, offering great performance and wrapping it in one aggressive all-American package. But while its 556 HP extracted from the supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8 is plenty of power for the average consumer, the tuners at Hennessey still saw enough room for improvement.

As such, the company released the V700 upgrade package, which, as you might have guessed, takes the output of the engine to over 700 HP. This massive increase is due to a new cold air intake system, a smaller supercharger pulley, updated ECU, longer tube headers, a three-inch exhaust system complete with high-flow cats and an upgraded intercooler, among other things.

All these changes take the CTS-V’s output to a whopping 707 HP, with 701 lb-ft of torque. The 0 to 62 mph time is now rated at 3.3 seconds, while the top speed is 211 mph. Just to give us a treat of that power, Heneessey also took the car out for some drag racing, and caught it on film. Hit the jump to see a video of the tuned Cadillac CTS-v run the quarter-mile in 11.14 seconds.

There’s just no stopping the guys at Hennessey from creating some mind boggling tuning projects, with the most recent one being a Chevrolet Camaro with the heart of a Corvette ZR1. After quite a few modifications and other performance parts, the Camaro LS9 HPE700 was born, capable of 725 HP with a torque of 741 lb-ft.

As further testimony to the performance of the new model, the guys shot a video of the car while it was on the track, and added various bits of data like the G force felt by the driver and the speed reached while on the circuit. Hit the jump to indulge yourselves with this new muscle car.

Famous North American tuning house Hennessey has just announced that it will be preparing multiple versions of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro LS9, all in their HPE line. The first model and the one already available for the debut at SEMA this week will be the HPE700, which will produce 725 HP with a torque of 741 lb-ft.

This version of the Camaro will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, and do the quarter-mile in 11.3 at a speed of 126 mph. This feat is achieved by a combination of a Brembo braking system with 15-inch rotors and a set of 20-inch alloy wheels .

But what’s more interesting is that two twin-turbo versions will be launched soon after it, with one developing between 800 and 850 HP and one, as we said in the title, capable of outputting 1,000 HP. No performance figures were given for the future models, but you can just imagine how fast they will be, if the power can be properly put down on the road.

It seems that before any recent edition of the SEMA show in Las Vegas, we are assaulted with dozens of highly customized cars. But since its introduction, the Hyundai Genesis Coupe has been the preferred target for many tuning and performance companies.

One of them is led by John Hennessey, which recently partnered with Hyunday in order to form a Tuner School, with participants invited to work on a special Genesis Coupe model.

After teaching them anything from tuning engines to fitting turbo/superchargers, the students have revealed their creation, a monster Genesis developing over 500 HP and around 465 lb-ft of torque. This is due to a single 66 mm turbocharger, a new fuel system with high flow injectors and many other aftermarket parts. This means that it will do 0 to 60 in just 3.9 seconds, and pass a drag strip’s quarter mile in 12.5 seconds.

But what’s really interesting about the car is that it is wrapped completely in carbon fiber, giving it a very unique look, which will surely attract many eyes when it will be presented at next week’s SEMA show in Las Vegas.

Hennessey announced that it’s currently working on an upgrade package for the new Dodge Challenger SRT8. There will be two power upgrade levels, first one up to 620 hp at 5,200 rpm and 650 lb-ft of torque, while the other one increases the engine’s power output to 650 hp at 4,800 rpm and 680 lb-ft. of torque. The extra power comes from several new features that include new cold air induction system, high flow cylinder heads with polished combustion chambers and lowered compression ratio, Garrett 67 mm Ball-Bearing turbocharger and new exhaust system. According to Hennessey, the Challenger SRT600 will go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, the 620 hp version, and in 3.6 seconds, the 650 hp version. Also, the SRT600 does the quarter mile in 11.9 seconds at 121 mph.
