Well, the 2008 Honda Accord Coupe and the Sedan are not a secret no more, we’ve seen spy shots, completely undisguised exterior and interior. We all waited for an official release from Honda and today we got what we wanted. Beside photos of the cars, which wasn’t news for us, we also got some details about what will be under the hood. Both, the 2008 Honda Accord Sedan and Coupe, will be powered by three different engine variants. The base 2008 Honda Accord will be powered by a 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine that produces 180 hp. Clients will also be able to choose the 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine that produces 200 hp. The range topper will be a 3.5 liter V6 engine producing 273 hp.
The only difference between the Sedan and the Coupe is that the Sedan won’t come in 6-speed manual for the 3.5 liter V6. Other than that automatic and manual transmissions are available on both.

A lot of Honda Accord Coupe spy shots were taken in the last months, but none are as good as this one. Because here we can see the Honda Accord Coupe without any camouflage, in a grocery parking lot in Ohio, USA.
The coupe is very impressive, especially that aggressive front part, which is fabulous. Too bad the Honda guys really messed up the back part, which is hideous, with those crappy large taillights. Still, overall, the car leaves a good impression and I’m waiting to see the public reaction when the final version will be released.

Inside Line presented some new spy shots of the upcoming Honda Accord Sedan, photos that show that the Sedan’s design will be slightly different than the Coupe’s. No detailed info is available so far about the Sedan, except that a new V6 engine will be available, plus some extra safety features.
The Honda Accord Sedan is expected to be presented next year by Honda.

At this year’s New York Auto Show, Honda will present the S2000 CR, which is a racer-inspired version of the popular Honda S2000. The Honda S2000 CR will be powered by the same 237Hp 2.2 VTEC engine and it will have a close ratio 6-speed manual transmission.
Even more importantly the race spec CR feautures aggressive suspension settings, increased body and chassis rigidity and weight reduction through the replacement of the soft-top with an aluminium hardtop (-90 pounds or 41kg) as well as the removal of options like A/C and the stereo system. If the stereo is not so important, I don’t know about the A/C (though it seems it will be on the optional list). More photos after the jump. (more…)
