Honda EV-neo – A Green Scooter –

Honda EV-neo

I have to say from the start that I’m not a big fan of scooters mostly because of that annoying sound that they make. However, the situation is completely different in this situation as the Honda EV-neo is an electric scooter that features a 72V lithium-ion battery that sends the available power to an electric motor that can generate 3.8 hp (3.8 PS / 2.8 kW) and 8 lb.-ft (11 Nm) of torque. With a curb weight of 243 lb (110 kg), it has a drive range of up to 21 miles (34 km) on a single charge.

After you run out of juice, the battery can be recharged in 3.5 hours when using a standard charger that has been installed underneath the seat or in only 30 minutes by using a rapid charger. The Honda EV-neo features 12-inch tubeless tires, a digital instrument cluster, along with a clever Combi Braking system that can engage both front and rear brakes when you press the left braking lever.

You already can get one if you live in Japan and Honda said that they’ll launch a test program in Barcelona. We can only tell you that they will give 18 scooters to the city council in order to obtain the necessary feedback regarding user behavior and performance. No word about selling them to guys like you and me…
