Honda unveils first photos of the CR-Z hybrid sports coupe before Tokyo Rpmgo.com

With the Frankfurt Motor Show already finished, the industry is turning its eyes to the East, as the Tokyo one is next up on the calendar. We will be definitely be greeted with a strong show thanks to the many local automakers, but it seems that Honda wants to steal the show, largely with its CR-Z hybrid sports coupe, which will see a pre-production concept.

Don’t go thinking that will be super futuristic, like the one revealed in 2007, as the car is set to enter production at the beginning of next year, so no major changes will be made to the Tokyo version. We can still see plenty of influences from the old concept, but the interior does remind me of the Insight hybrid model.

Speaking of hybrid, this will be Honda’s first entry in the hybrid sports car market, with the small coupe being a spiritual successor to the famous CR-X from the beginning of the 1990s, and it will reportedly have some good performance figures. Sadly no such details were given by Honda, meaning that we must wait until October 24 when the Tokyo show will start.
