Jaguar’s new campaign is about beauty and power – rpmGo.com

Jaguar has launched a new campaign to promote its lineup and it emphasizes on the power and beauty of the cars. Whether it is the XF, XJ or the XKR-S, these three cars manage to offer the perfect blend between a proper sports car and a luxury vehicle that has just about all of the features that you’d want, all wrapped around in a very attractive styling.

The 2012 Jaguar XF can now be ordered with a new 4-cylinder 2.2-liter engine that develops 187 hp (190 PS / 140 kW) and a peak torque of 332 lb.-ft (450 Nm). It’s linked to an 8-speed automatic gearbox that allows the vehicle to do the 0-62 mph sprint in 8.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 140 mph (225 km/h). With this engine, the car can return 43.5 mpg (52.3 mpg UK or 5.4 liters / 100 km) and has CO2 emissions of only 149 g/km.

For the XJ model, the British automaker used an aluminum body architecture which makes the car 150 kg less heavy than its main rivals.  It is available with a V6 3.0-liter diesel engine, a 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated V8 power unit that offers 385 hp and also with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 510 hp. With the diesel engine, the Jaguar XJ can return 40.1 mpg and has CO2 emissions of 184 g/km. The power is sent to the back wheels via the six-speed ZF automatic transmission.

Back in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Jaguar unveiled the 2012 XKR-S Convertible which is powered by a supercharged V8 5.0-liter engine that churns 542 hp (550 PS / 405 kW) and a peak torque of 501 lb.-ft (680 Nm). The engine is paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and it enables the car to sprint to 62 mph in only 4.2 seconds, en route to a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).
