For those who are interested in racing competitions, I’m sure that the 2011 Lamborghini calendar for the Lamborghini Blacpain Super Trofeo is important especially now when it has been officially confirmed. The series will include circuits all across Europe and the professional drivers will compete for Lamborghini driving the 570 horsepower V12 Lamborghini Super Trofeo race cars.
The 2011 Edition is the third edition of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo. The two previous seasons were close competitions because the title remained undecided until the last race. The 2011 Lamborghini calendar will include the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit located in Belgium and the well known technically challenging Paul Ricard circuit property of France. This Lamborghini race calendar benefits from a new addition of 2011 Edition of the trophy represented by the Super Trofeo season-opener which will be held at the famous Italian circuit, Monza in April.
The partnership between Lamborghini and the FIA GT1 World Championship will continue this year as well. The 2011 Lamborghini calendar also includes the Silverstone and Paul Ricard circuits along with other prestigious series well known as official circuits of the FIA. Another, interesting news is that referring to the new Blancpain Endurance Series which will be supported by Lamborghini, launched in 2011 by SRO and the result of an excellent collaboration with the Blancpain Company. This partnership has allowed the creation of some exquisite cars that combine the high performance engineering abilities of this well known luxury brands.

Because of the high standards of competition set during the last two editions, the format of the series will be the same meaning that each race weekend will consists of three 40 minute races, 40 minutes free practice and a 30-minute qualifying session. Moreover, as a result of the continuing evolution of the race, the driver classifications will be a new addition of the 2011 Lamborghini race calendar. That means that the participating drivers will be classified by the FIA guidelines and will be rewarded with Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze statues. Another, news regarding the race format is the addition of the Rookie category designed for new drivers who have never competed before.The 2011 Lamborghini Blancpain Supeer Trofeo calendar marked its first event of the third edition on April, 17 in Monza –Italy.
This event was hosted by the Blancpain Endurance Series. The second race will take place on June, 5 at the Silverstone circuit (UK) and is organized by FIA GT1 World Championship while on July, 17 will take place the third race at the Paul Ricard circuit in France (also organized by the FIA GT1 World Championship). The 2011 Lamborghini calendar continues with the Spa-Francorchamps circuit scheduled on July, 31 in Belgium to be hosted by Blancpain Endurance Series. On October, 2nd, the next race will take place at the Hockenheim circuit in Germany ant it will be organized by ADAC GT Masters. The last exciting and hot race is scheduled on the 30th of October and it will take place at the Circuit de Catalunya, Spain. The organizer will be International GT Open.
Lamborghini’s Director of Research and Development, Maurizio Reggiani said that they are trying to maintain the elements which contributed to the success of the race series and that they are trying to make this competition more entertaining and competitive with each edition.
