Did you manage to get your hands on one of the 20 Lamborghini Reventon models when they was announced at 2007’s Frankfurt Motor Show? Great. Now, for those of you who didn’t or those who want the wind to blow their hair when riding in this road-legal stealth fighter, the Italian supercar manufacturer has unveiled the first pictures of the Roadster version of the Lamborghini Reventon.
Only the pictures have surfaced for now, but it’s safe to say that the primary goal of the engineers was to further improve the car and, of course, chopping its top off. As you can see, all of the major distinguishing features are there, including the peculiarly shaped front and rear bumpers, as well as the 18-inch wheels and custom interior, all contributing to the jet fighter look of the Italian hypercar.
Most likely the mechanics of the prestigious car won’t be changed, as we can expect the same 6.5 liter V12 engine to produce 650 HP (478 kW) and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) of torque in order to really get the wind to blow through your hair. The gearbox might be the same six-speed e-gear one which will transfer the power to all of the wheels of the car. With a 0 to 100 km/h or 60 mph time of 3.4 seconds, the max speed will be around 340 km/h or 211 mph.
Be ready to fork out about the same amount of money, 1.2 million Euros or $1,0750,000 for any of the predicted 20 units which will be made.
