Lamborghini Sesto Elemento to go into production

According to popular French website Automoto.fr, following the great feedback after the Paris Motor Show launch, Lamborghini has decided to put the Sesto Elemento into production. What the Italian carmaker managed to do with this concept is the extensive use of carbon fiber and carbon-fiber reinforced plastics (including a carbon-fiber monocoque structure) which allowed the car to be ultra lightweight and weigh no more than 999 kg (2,202 lbs).

Under the bonnet, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento is powered by the naturally-aspirated 5.2-liter V10 from the LP 570-4 Superleggera with delivers 562 hp (419 kW) which, combined with the car’s low weight allows 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration in 2.5 seconds and top speed around 350 km/h (186 mph).

The Sesto Elemento will probably cost somewhere around 2.5 million ($3.44 million) and if that doesn’t hold you back, find out that only 7 to 10 units will be built.
