Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG gets even more powerful with new Performance Plus package |

One of Mercedes-Benz’s flagship models and its prime weapon against the BMW M3 is the C63 AMG model, based on the C Class. It is one crazy car, with a massive amount of power.

But for those who crave even more and don’t really want to go to various tuners, the AMG division has cooked up something very special, in terms of a Performance Plus package, which can be added as an option for both the regular sedan and the estate version, and includes both mechanical and visual upgrades.

Let’s start with what everyone’s interested in: the engine. The already powerful 6.2-liter V8 will be getting an extra 30 HP, taking its output to 487 HP at around 6,800 rpm and a peak torque of 600 Nm at 5,000 rpm. This translates in an improved 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) time of 4.4 seconds. Sadly the speed is still limited to 250 km/h.

AMG also implemented other mechanical changes, like a new braking system, to stop that massive engine, and a new discreet wing on the boot lid. On the inside drivers will be able to choose from either two types of leather on the steering wheel, regular or alcantara.

In case this new package peaked your interest, it will cost an extra €7,080 for the sedan while for the estate version has a tag of €6,426.
