Mercedes-Benz unveils SL Night Edition and SLK Grand Edition |

Mercedes-Benz has just revealed that two special editions of its popular convertibles: the SL and the SLK, just in time for those of you planning a summer with the wind in your hair and a German car under your control.

First off, the SL Night Edition will be highlighted by a special paint finish in designo magno night black matte, which compliments the 19-inch AMG five-spoke alloy wheels, finished in a two-tone gloss paint, and also boasts darkened lamps, both in front and in the rear. On the inside, the SL Night Edition features black nappa leather, chrome trim, sports steering wheel and revamped seats with silver linings.

The SLK Grand Edition, on the other hand, will feature a designo graphite paint finish, which aims to match the 18-inch wheels, a set of silver fins on the bonnet and a color-coded headlamps. On the inside, the SLK will have red stitching on the seats and armrest, contrasting with the basalt grey nappa leather on the door linings and designo pearl leather on the side bolsters.

In case these exclusive options have peaked your interest, the SLK Grand Edition will have a premium of around €2,300 and €3,500 ($3,300 – $5,000) while the SL Night Edition will cost about €3,700 and €5,200 ($5,300 – $7,500) extra, depending on the engine you choose.
