The car you see in these photos is not a modified version of the iconic McLaren F1, but the Mosler MT900SP which is the lightweight version of the company’s MT900 model and seems to borrow a lot of design cues from the hypercar of the early 90s. This is a mid-engined, 2-seat, RWD sports car that will be manufactured at a rate of only one unit annually for the U.S.

It is powered by a massive 7.0-liter V8 engine that pumps out 535 hp (399 kW) and it is linked to a six-speed Getrag gearbox. According to Jacob Mosler, the car weighs less than 2,500 lbs (1134 kg) thanks to the fact that the company’s engineers have used carbon fiber body panels, a composite chassis, along with other weight-saving measures.
