New rumors appear on the Lamborghini Jota and Urus replacements for the Gallardo and Murcielago | Rpmgo.com

In case the economy hasn’t put your wallet on a diet, you might want to save up your money and refrain from buying the current Lamborghini models, from the “cheap” Gallardo to the Murcielago or recently-revealed Reventon Roadster, as new rumors have appeared about the models which will replace the first two cars.

First off, and closes to entering production, is the Jota model, which will replace the Gallardo and be available as soon as 2011. Set to use a massive 6.0-liter V12 engine which should provide anywhere frmo 600 to 700+ HP, the model will use a carbon fiber chassis in order to provide one of the best horse power/ton ratio.

But in case you find this Jota underpowered, rest assured that the Murcielago replacement, the Urus, will be more than adequate for your needs, providing around 800+ HP from its own V12 engine, rivaling the replacement for the Ferrari Enzo that the team from Maranello is preparing. It will use the same chassis as the Jota, but make it even lighter, in order to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 3 seconds. Expect this model to arrive as soon as 2012.

Do take these rumors with a grain of salt though, as nothing is for certain just yet, but if I were a Lambo fan, I’d start saving up some money for the next few years.
