Introduced in 1996, the Porsche Boxster was a pretty successful car for the Stuttgart based carmaker. However, since then, the car never got through a major change, even if Porsche claims that the facelifted Boxster, launched in 2004, has only 20% in common with the original 1996 model, we never thought of it as a new car. And it was about time something changed.
Even if only a rendering, created by Lars Saeltzer, the design above gives us an idea of how the next generation Porsche Boxster might look like. Scheduled to be released in 2010, as a 2011 model, we can see the new Boxster will resemble pretty much Porsche’s Carrera GT supercar, phased out in May 2006.
