Preliminary Info – Mercedes C63 AMG Facelift – rpmGo.com

Mercedes C63 AMG Facelift

This week, Mercedes launched a couple of images of their upcoming C63 AMG facelift in both sedan and estate configurations. Slated to go on sale this summer, the car will have the same engine as the outgoing model, which is a V8 6.2-liter that churns 457 hp and 600 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. This engine is linked to the MCT 7-speed sports gearbox developed by AMG. Not only this transmission is more fuel efficient, but at the same time it has the capability of changing the gears in the blink of an eye and reducing the CO2 emissions. The C63 AMG facelift will consume 12 liter / 100 km for both of the versions which is pretty good for a car that packs so many hp under its hood.

This V8 engine allows the car to do the 0-62 mph sprint in only 4.5 seconds, onto a top speed of 155 mph (electronically limited). If you want more from the car, you can get it with the Performance Package which will increase the power output to 481 hp, allowing the C63 AMG to do the sprint in 4.4 seconds. With this optional package, you also get a new lighter crankshaft, boot lid carbon fiber wing, revised connection rods and pistons as well as a sports steering wheel.
