2012 BMW 650i Individual Convertible

With the introduction of the new 6-Series generation, BMW has announced that it will start offering the Individual range for this very beautiful convertible starting with this fall. Customers will have the possibility to choose from a lot of paintwork, interior fittings and alloy rims options. The Individual package includes only modifications brought to the exterior and the interior of the car so there is no power increase or any other hardware modifications which means that customers will have to be satisfied with the same V8 4.4-liter engine.

One of the exterior options available is the exclusive Tansanite Blue Metallic which will be available for the first time along with other interesting colors like the Agate Brown Metallic and the Brilliant White Metallic. Regardless of the chosen color, all the paint will be applied in up to seven different layers which will most likely offer great iridescent effects.

Aside from the new colors available, you can also choose the BMW Individual rear lettering as well as the BMW Individual 19-inch V-spoke light alloy rims. As an optional feature, you could get the massive 20-inch wheels for extra bling. All of the colors available can be combined with the BMW Individual Exterior Line Aluminum satinated or the BMW Individual High Gloss Shadow Line.

Inside the cabin, the BMW 650i Convertible will be offered with a full leather trim in fine-grain Merino stems which will be available for the instrument panel, center console, door trim panels and the seats. Customers can order it in Opal White, Cohiba Brown, Amaro Brown, Champagne or Platinum version. Any of these leather options will be able to be combined with either the Plane Auburn dark wood trim strip or the Piano Finish Black.

As mentioned before, no changes will be brought to the engine which means that the 650i Convertible will feature the same 4.4-liter engine that will output 400 hp between 5,500 rpm and 6,400 rpm and a maximum torque of 450 lb.-ft between 1,750 rpm and 4,500 rpm. The power unit can be linked to either a 6-speed manual transmission or the proprietary all-new 8-speed Sport Automatic gearbox. Regardless of the chosen gearbox, the top speed will be electronically limited to 155 mph.

Some of the car’s main competitors will be the Porsche 911 Cabriolet, Jaguar XK Convertible and the Mercedes SL-Class.

The base price for the 2012 BMW 605i Convertible starts from $91,375 and the prices for the Individual package will be announced closer to the debut.
