It was at the end of November when BMW officially announced the 2011 5 Series F10 generation, but in just a bit over a month, German tuning company Racing Dynamics has already came forward with tuning options for the gasoline variants of the new Bavarian sedan: the 535i and the 550i.
Starting with the bigger 550i, it has seen its twin-turbo V8 taken from a “measly” 407 HP to a whopping 620 HP. This specific R50S model will benefit not only from the engine upgrade but also from a new rear differential, sport suspension and a heavy duty braking system which will keep the new power in check.
The BMW 535i was also enhanced by Racing Dynamics, and along with the R35 codename, got a boost from the stock 306 HP to 410 HP. This new power translates in a very impressive torque rating of 530 Nm (385.5 lb-ft) and a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) time of 5.3 seconds.
When the tuning packages will appear on the market, expect cosmetic upgrades to be available, including the 21-inch wheels, the revamped rear bumper and the slightly beefier side skirts, as pictured above.
