Renault Megane RS Trophy
The Renault Megane RS Trophy has managed to become the fastest production-spec FWD car on the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife track. The driver who achieved the 8 minutes and 7.97 seconds time is Laurent Hurgon, who beat the 8 minutes and 17 seconds time achieved by the Renault Megane R26.R.
As a reminder, the car is motivated by a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that produces 261 hp (265 PS / 195 kW) and has a peak torque of 265 lb.-ft (360 Nm), which is 15 PS and 20 Nm more than the regular Megane RS version.
A very important detail regarding the car is that it managed to achieve this time by running on Bridgestone RE050A high-performance tires.
