Don’t you just love it when tuners decide to modify already powered-up cars? We certainly do. It’s the case of JE Design, which decided to modify the Seat Leon Cupra, so they upgraded the 2.0 TFSI engine which now produces 285 hp (210kW), that’s 45 hp more than the standard version. The car now goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 261 km/h.

But that’s not all, JE Design prepared a unique body kit for the Seat, with spoiler inserts in the front apron, a matching diffuser insert in the rear bar, a modified front grille and headlight covers to give a more aggressive look, plus side sills, air channels in both the front and rear bumpers and finally, a rear wing for added downforce.

The Leon also comes with 18in or optional 19in multipsoke alloys finished in a chrome paint or matt black. But that’s not all, it seems that JE Design engineers prepare a more powerful version, with 300 hp, plus some other exterior modifications. Read More: “Seat Leon Cupra by JE Design”

We announced you some time ago that “General Lee“, the legendary 1969 Dodge Charger from “Dukes of Hazzard” was sold on eBay for $9,900,500. Apparently, the bid was fake, so John Schneider (Bo Duke) decided to put the car up for sale again. This time, the starting price was set to $1,000,000 and, to prevent fake bids, in order to place a bid, an user first has to register with Auction Wire.

Just like the first time happened, a lot of critics showed up, arguing that the car doesn’t worth more then $200,000 or maybe $300,000. But it seems that the car’s history makes it worth much more than that. We’ll let you know when news show up about the auction. Read More: ““General Lee” up for sale again”

Ernst Lieb, the CEO of Mercedes’ US division spoke to Automotive News and said that the German company thinks about importing the B-Class to the US. This is due to the rising demand for fuel efficent cars in the US, but could only happen starting from 2011, because Mercedes is now focusing on marketing their new C-Class sedan over the next few years.

Another car that could come to the US is an upcoming M-Class little brother, which will most likely be named GLK, but there’s no sure thing about this one, because it isn’t even launched by Mercedes and they don’t know if it would be suitable for the US. It looks like Audi will be revealing the Audi TT Club Sport Quattro Concep at the Wörthersee tuner show in Austria. The car is a concept study based on the Audi TT Roadster and uses the Porsche 356 Speedster as inspiration for its design. The concept has no top and no rear view mirrors, instead relying on a small windshield and side mirrors that have the turn indicators embedded within. Also new is the front end, now with a huge grille.

Under the hood lies a modified version of the 2.0 TFSI engine found in the S3, now developing 300hp with the help of a larger turbo. Audi’s S-tronic dual-clutch transmission handles shifting duties, while the brakes have been upgraded to carbon ceramic units. How do you get a super car? Well, you take one of the most beautiful luxury coupes out there, the Mercedes CL600, you give it a 6.3 liter V12 engine that produces 730 hp and takes the car to 340 km/h (210 mph), you give the engine some tweaks, so it can be legal and you also equipped it with a lot of expensive gadgets and materials…and what you get? You have maybe the most amazing and powerful super coupe in the world, the new Brabus SV12 Biturbo Coupe.

Now let’s see…why do we say it’s the most powerful and amazing? Because, as we said, the V12 engine has 730 hp, goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds, 200 km/h after just 11.9 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 340 km/h. To make this engine legal, the Brabus engineers had to install a unique crankshaft with a longer stroke, increase the cylinder bore and add new forged pistons, precision-machine the cylinder heads and finally, fit them with four special camshafts.

The interior, as you probably expected is top of the line in luxury. It has almost everything you can imagine, from scuff plates with illuminated Brabus logo or an ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel to an exclusive customized interior crafted from soft yet durable Brabus Mastik leather and the finest Alcantara. It look like, with the introduction of the next generation of Ford small car, the Fiesta name will not be used any more, because, as Ford officials say, the new car will be radically changed compared with the actual Fiesta and there would be no point in keeping the name.

The first Ford Fiesta was introduced 30 years ago and made history for Ford, being the best sold small car in the UK for many years. Possible names for the new Ford small car are Genesis, Isis, Phoenix and Cuga. However, there is hope for those who still want to drive a new generation of Fiesta, because a final decision hasn’t been made yet, and we could look at the new Mondeo, which is also very different to the old generation and Ford chose to maintain the Mondeo names, due to the high costs of marketing a new name.

We don’t know yet what to say about Ford’s idea, because we have to see the new car to decide, new car which will be presented at this year’s Frankfurt Auto Show in September. Read More: “Ford gives up on Fiesta”

Opel announced that next year, probably next spring it will start selling the new generation of Opel Agila. The new “midget” from Opel looks cute (compared to the actual Agila, which can compete anytime for the world’s ugliest car) and I think women will adore this car.

The mini car will have five doors and it will allow users to fold down the back seats to accommodate a class-leading 1150L of storage space. The next generation Opel Agila will come equipped with three new engines; a 1.0L 3-cylinder (65hp) and a 1.2L four-cylinder with 86hp, both petrol engines, and a 1.3L CDTi with 75 hp(like the one on the actual Corsa). An automatic gearbox option will be available for the first time but only for 1.2L versions.

As for safety, which is important on these small cars, the Agila will come equipped with four airbags as well as an optional ESP (Electronic Stability Program). The new Opel Agila will debut at this year’s Frankfurt motor show in September and we expect the final pricing to be announced in the first half of next year. Click read more to see more pics of the car.

DaimlerChrysler AG decided the future of Chrysler, by selling 80% of the stocks to Cerberus Capital Management, for a sum close to $7.4 billion. A bad deal if you compare it to the $36 billion spent to merge the two companies back in 1998. DaimlerChrysler AG will now be renamed to Daimler AG, and it will keep 20% of Chrysler, plus it will give them a $400 million loan.

So, after two months of negotiations with several bidders, the fate of Chrysler if finally decided. DaimlerChrysler first mentioned that Chrysler is up for sale in February, following the announcement of a $1.5 billion loss and a restructuring plan that would cost up to 13,000 jobs. Even though everybody knew for some time how the Saab 9-3 facelift, which will be released next year, will look like, we now have an official release of some photos of this car. Most people look at Saab as an old company with no new fresh ideas and with aged models that don’t appeal no more. I don’t think so, I mean, I’ve always liked Saab for some reason I haven’t yet discovered, but the fact is that I like it. I don’t know if I would buy one, but I think it’s cool that it offers an interesting option for some people.

Now, about the upcoming 9-3 facelift, it is based on the Aero X concept and will feature bold styling and cutting edge technology for greater driving appeal. Unfortunately Saab didn’t give us any important info, except for that we already knew. No mechanical specs, so we don’t know much about the 290 Hp 2.8 V6 Turbo engine or Saab’s AWD technology. But we expect more info from Saab soon. Read More: “Saab 9-3 Facelift Official Photos”
