We don’t know where this photo was taken, but talking about space management, one thing’s for sure, the space on that ship was really used to the max. Just take a look at those cars in the center of the image. That’s impressive! We’re also not sure if this photo is for real and wasn’t photoshopped, but it sure is funny.

Probably everyone knows who Brabus is and what it does. It’s that German tuner which transforms Mercedes cars into expensive beasts. And here is their latest creation, the tuning program for the recently introduced Mercedes Benz SL facelift. As expected, the performance figures are impressive. The car is powered by the 730hp 6.3-liter twin-turbo V12 originally developed for the Brabus Rocket (SL 600 only) mated to a reinforced five-speed automatic transmission and a special Brabus limited-slip differential. High performance upgrades include a new sports exhaust system, a special suspension kit and the Brabus high performance brake system. Powered by this engine, the cars sprints from 0 to 62mph (100km/h) in just 4 seconds and up to 124mph (200km/h) in 10.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 219 mph (350km/h).

Considering its performances, the body kit not only gives the car a striking look, but it also improves the aerodynamics, to make sure nothing unexpected happens. The front bumper is replaced by the Brabus front apron featuring LED daytime running lights and high beam and fog lights, the rocker panels have three entrance lights which illuminate the floor around the vehicle. Also available are 17, 18, 19 and 20 inch one-piece and multi-piece light alloy rims.

Of course, the interior is top class, featuring scuff plates with illuminated BRABUS-logo, an ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel with shift paddles, and an exclusive BRABUS custom interior crafted from an exquisite combination of especially soft yet durable BRABUS Mastik leather and Alcantara.

In an interview published Sunday, Rupert Stadler, Audi’s Chairman told Welt am Sonntag that Audi is planning on releasing an electric car within 10 years. Without providing additional details, Stadler said: “Electric cars offer great opportunities, which we have already seized on”. Asked if was not lagging domestic rivals Mercedes and BMW in the development of lithium-ion batteries, Stadler said Audi’s research capacities were larger than those of its German competitors.

So this announcement shows, once again, that the major car companies take electric cars very serious. This year, BMW will decide whether to build an electric vehicle, while GM plans to roll Chevy Volt plug-in electric car in 2010.

In 2006, Thom Donaldson, joined Morgan Motor Company as an apprentice in the trim department. Short time after, he was involved in a work accident which left him with limited movement and strapped to a wheelchair. However, Morgan decided that 2007 would be Thom’s year and made all efforts to raise money for him to have a normal life again. And that wasn’t in vain, because Morgan managed to raise £75,000 thanks to the efforts of a large number of people and organisations plus the kindness of many visitors and the local community. The money were used for a specially modified car, hydrotherapy sessions and specialist equipment which allowed Thom to move into a flat local to the factory, and start back at Morgan doing computer work.

Charles Morgan, the grandson of the founder said “we were all devastated when we first heard the news, and the fund raising was one tangible way of helping one of the “family” that makes up the Morgan Motor company workforce back to independence. We are all delighted to see him back at work”

The German tuner Hamann is known best for its tuning programs for BMW cars, so this comes somehow as a surprise. Because their latest creation is a tuning package for the Fiat 500 but it looks like Hamann didn’t take it really serious, because the program doesn’t match the cool BMW programs the German company got us used to.

Called the Hamann Sportivo, the package features a 30 mm lowered suspension, new 17-inch alloy wheels, new sport exhaust system which also provides the engine with a new sound and sports braking system. Under the bonnet, by remapping the integrated control unit, the 1.3 Multijet 16v engine now develops 90 hp, 15 hp more than the production version. On the interior, the Hamann Sportivo fetures a set of aluminum pedals and embroidered Hamann sportive logo.

From the Bugatti Veyron, we really haven’t seen a two-tone painted car that looks good, but this Mercedes Benz S Class is quite amazing. “Responsible” for this creation is the German company ART Tuning. Besides the great paint, the car features a new body kit, which includes new front spoiler, side skirts, rear skirt with diffuser and trunk lid spoiler plus 20 inch special alloy wheels and a 356 mm lowered suspension.

ART also made some power upgrades and now the 5.4 liter engine produces 296 kW / 403 hp, 11 kW / 15 hp more than the production version. The torque has also been increased from 530 Nm to 550 Nm. The sport exhaust system with sport rear silencer is displayed through four hard-chromed polished tail pipes measuring 80 mm in diameter.

The interior is finished in mocca and sandy beige leather and comes with a sport steering wheel with paddle shifters, electric curtain set for the rear and velours carpet set. What’s cool is that a refrigerator can also be installed in the rear center console upon request.

Though successful, the Toyota Prius is not the best looking car out there and we’re sure the last you’d expect was a convertible version of the car. However, Newport Convertible Engineering’s (NCE) thought that all those environment lovers out there driving a Prius would like to feel a little more freedom and decided to take down the car’s top and replace it with a fabric one. We don’t really dig those remaining windows frames, but we’re sure they were left there with a purpose. What do you think, you like it?

Check out more photos after the jump.

PS: Not really related to the article, but I don’t know why, everytime I see a Prius, I remember Achmed‘s words and I laugh: “That is not a car but a lunch box. Did you know when you’re going down the highway in a Prius if you put your hand down the window the vehicle will tuuurn?”

The new Audi A4 is one great car and we’re sure tuners all over the world will turn their attention towards Audi’s new car and Rieger is on the first tuning companies to present a program for the Audi A4 3.0 TDI. The package includes a body kit featuring a redesigned rear bumper with integrated air diffuser, side skirts and a front lip spoile, plus the 20-inch special alloy wheels.

Rieger also made some mechanical mods, so, by doing some ECU tweakes, the 3.0 TDI engine’s power output has been increased from 241 hp to 300 hp, which is quite a significant increase.

After last month the Audi Q5 made its world debut at the Beijing Auto Show, yesterday Audi revealed the S Line version of the crossover which, in our opinion will be a tough competitor in the market, alongside the BMW X3 and the Mercedes Benz GLK.

The S Line version will be sportier and it will have a number of exterior changes, including 19-inch wheels (with optional 20-inch alloys also available), a modified front grille with a matching mesh pattern of air vents around the fog lights.

On the interior, the Audi Q5 S Line has a three-spoke steering wheel wrapped in perforated leather, “S Line” logo on the door sills and brushed aluminium all over the place. The seats are layered in Nappa or Alcantara trim with the S Line logo embroidered on the seats.

We’ve seen some great advertising campaigns in the auto industry and we’ve presented you, in the past, some of those. Now here’s another one, from Brazil, which is really awesome and I bet your first reaction will be “Awww, that’s so cute!”.

The prints, which show “baby versions” of some popular brand logos, like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati or Jaguar were created by Brazilian ad agency Dentsu for Minichamps, a die-cast miniature model producer. And we must say they’re pretty funny, especially the Jaguar kitten, the Ferrari horsey or the Lamborghini calf.

Yeah, we know, it sounds a little weird, a Bugatti Veyron special edition, but it seems that Bugatti knows what they’re doing, because their last special editions, the Pur Sang and the Fbg by Hermes were very successful and sold almost immediately.

Their latest beauty is the Bugatti Veyron Sang Noir, which is French for “black blood”, however, we don’t know much about the car, as no official press release was made available, except from what we see in these photos. And, oh boy, we sure like what we see. The all-black body, specially designed grille, unique alloy wheels, headlights with black background and that wild bright orange interior.

HongQi (Chinese for Red Flag) is the premiere division of Chines car maker FAW Groups and at the Beijing Auto Show presented this quite interesting concept, the HongQi SUV Concept. It’s quite surprising for a Chinese producer to come up with such a great looking concept, however, considering that the production version won’t be available until at least 2010, we’ll have to wait and see that before we make any other remarks.

The concept’s front fascia features an evolved version of Red Flag’s signature grille with the addition of large vents and the car will be powered by FAW’s advanced V12 engine, which will also equip the HQE limousine. FAW is very proud of this engine, which features an advanced combustion system, full aluminum light weight design, optimized fuel economic efficiency and lower emissions. This engine will also lay the foundations for a V6 and a V8 engine to follow.
