Seat is definitely one of my favorite car-makers, largely due because they take the German engineering from the Volkswagen group, which is top notch of course, and pack it in a Latin-flavored exterior, which has a lot more passion than your average VW or Audi.
One of the best looking cars recently was the new Seat Ibiza, borrowing heavily from the stunning Bocanegra concept. It seems that for this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the Spanish manufacturer plans to tease everyone with a concept of an Ibiza Sport Tourer.
According to the guys over at CarScoop, it seems that this Sport Tourer version will most likely be teased next year and might make it formal debut during the 2010 editions of either the Geneva or the Barcelona Motor Shows, which happen in March and May, respectively.
No concrete details are known just yet, but perhaps we can see the Spanish car-maker adapt the Audi A3 and, as usual, offer for a much more reasonable price and with virtually the same build quality. Expect to see some new engines in this version which aren’t yet featured in the Sport Coupe or regular editions of the compact Ibiza.
