Our colleagues from WCF have managed to grab a few spy shots with the car while undergoing some tests in the U.S of A. What we can notice from these pictures is that the car will come with updated bumpers, a bigger grille and revised lightning units. For the cabin, the 2012 Genesis Coupe will get a better infotainment system and an updated center stack with brand new instrumentation.

The old 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 210 hp (213 PS / 157 kW) and a peak torque of 223 lb.-ft (302 Nm) will be replaced by the one fitted in the Sonata Turbo, which is a new 2.0-liter turbocharged power plant that develops 274 hp (278 PS / 204 kW) and 269 lb.-ft (364 Nm) of torque. Moreover, the current V6 3.8-liter will most likely be revised in order to produce 333 hp (338 PS / 248 kW) and a peak torque of 291 lb.-ft (394 Nm).
