Citroen DS4 Racing revealed in Geneva
Perhaps the coolest car made by Citroen in the last few years is this DS4 Racing concept which previews a production version that most likely will be launched in early 2013 to rival the Renaultsport Megane and the Ford Focus ST. At the heart of this model is a 1.6-liter turbo engine that is capable of delivering no less than 256 hp which has been tuned by Citroen Racing.
Even though it offers 160 hp / liter, the French automaker says that the car has CO2 emissions of only 155 g/km. We don’t have any details regarding the economy and performance figures of the DS4 Racing but when the production version will come out, the car will probably be able to do the 0-62 mph sprint in less than 6 seconds, on its way to an electronically limited top speed of about 155 mph.
The chassis of the Citroen DS4 Racing has been lowered by 35mm, while the front and rear tracks are now considerably wider (55mm front / 75mm rear). It rides on big 19-inch alloys wrapped around in 235/40 tires. In addition, we notice a two-tone finish for the alloy wheels and the roof, while the concept is wearing a special matt grey paint.

Citroen DS4
The extremely beautiful Citroen DS4 has arrived in United Kingdom as the French automaker revealed the price list and is now accepting preorders. The first cars will be delivered at the beginning of next month and customers are able to choose from three trim levels: DSign, DStyle and the top-spec DSport. In addition, there are five engines available, all Euro 5 complaint and prices start from 18,150 pounds, while the most expensive model costs 23,950 pounds.

Speaking of engines, there are three gasoline 1.6-liter units that were co-developed with BMW: the entry-level VTi 120 HP, THP 155HP and the most powerful one available – THP 200HP. If you prefer diesels, you can choose either the HDi 110HP or the HDi 160HP.
The less powerful diesel is also available in an e-HDi configuration, along with the company’s micro-hybrid technology that sports a second stop/start system which is capable of increasing fuel economy by 15% while driving in the city and reduces the CO2 emissions to only 114 g/km.

As far as the e-HDI 110HP and the THP 155HP engines are concerned, these are linked to a 6-speed EGS gearbox while the other power units get manual transmissions.
That powerful THP 200HP will allow the Citroen DS4 to do the 0-62 mph sprint in 8.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 146 mph.

Citroen To Show Three Concepts At Geneva
Citroen C3 Red Block
We are only one week away from the 81st edition of the Geneva Motor Show and Citroen announced that they are going to bring three concepts, based on the automaker’s production models. The design studies are the C3 “Red Block”, the DS4 “Purple” and the C6 “Noir et Blanc”.
The French supermini C3 has bespoke matt grey paintwork with red accents on the window line and sits on 17-inch alloy rims, plus smoked headlamps and tail lamps. In addition, it features a lowered suspension and the exclusive interior trim is highlighted by the red leather seats, and the various aluminum accents located on the door panels, stee

ring wheel and the center console.
The DS4 Purple will make its debut alongside with the production model. This concept “takes inspiration from the techniques of jewellery craft.”
The C6 “Noir et Blanc” is going to be a study on new colors and materials for the automaker’s most expensive model.
My personal favorite is the DS4 Purple as it looks very aggressive and it has a nice interior. The C6 is perhaps the ugliest car from Citroen’s current lineup and this concept doesn’t really bring anything new. Probably the next-generation C6 will adopt an entire new styling as the current one isn’t attractive at all. Most likely, the new one will take some of the design ideas from the DS3 and DS4 which both look very good in my opinion.
We’ll be able to provide more information next week when the Geneva Motor Show starts.

When the Citroen DS3 Racing hot hatch was revealed, many people were extremely excited about the limited edition sporty compact.
Now, as the Citroen DS4 has just been revealed a few weeks ago, rumors about a high performance Racing version are already flying around the web.
According to the rumor mongers at AutoExpress, a Citroen DS4 Racing is just a matter of time. The French company will apply the same philosophy as on the hotter DS3, and will throw in dozens of unique customization options, to differentiate the sporty DS4 from the regular model.
According to the British magazine, the future Citroen DS4 Racing will be using the new Hybrid4 technology, as seen on the Peugeot 3008, but combine the 96 HP electric motor with the 200 HP developed by the 1.6-liter THP gasoline engine.
As you can imagine, the DS4 Racing will pack one heck a punch, if it turns out to be true. Features like upgraded suspension, steering and brakes are also rumored, in order to keep that power under control. Seeing as how it uses the Hybrid4 system, all-wheel drive is a given, with rear-wheel drive only available in electric mode. Also, expect the fuel average and emissions to be extremely low, given its high power output.
Frankly, after seeing the CItroen DS3 Racing, a DS4 performance model might be even better.

Even if it was leaked a few hours ago, the 2011 Citroen DS4 has now been officially revealed by the French company, ahead of its debut later this year at the Paris Motor Show.
As we revealed earlier today, the DS4 is a five-door crossover, but with a coupe design, as the rear door handles are hidden in the C pillar. It borrows styling cues from the new 2011 Citroen C4, but also the first iteration in the new DS line, the DS3 compact hatchback.
The exterior boasts the impressive design highlighted above, as well as new technologies like LED daytime running lights. Wheels of up to 19 inches in size can be fitted, while chrome touches are present on the outside of the car.
As you might have figured out by now, the DS4 will battle it out with other premium crossovers, and offer a variety of luxury options. These include various leather choices, a panoramic roof, as well as chrome inserts. The crossover is a 2+2, so just four people can sit inside.
Thee petrol and two diesel engines will be made available. The gasoline ones will consist of a 120 HP 1.6-liter VTi, a 155 HP 1.6 THP and a 200 HP 1.6 THP. Two diesels will also be available, with e-HDi technology, capable of 110 and 160 HP, respectively.
Check out the new Citroen DS4 in the photo gallery below.

As the Paris Motor Show is fast approaching, the large French carmakers are getting ready to showcase their new models.
Among them is the upcoming Citroen DS4 crossover, which will take the French brand further into the upmarket segment it entered with the DS3 compact hatchback.
We’ve already seen the DS High Rider crossover coupe concept, but now the first leaked shots of the production Citroen DS4 have made their way onto the web.
As you can see, the model isn’t actually a coupe crossover, like the recent Range Rover Evoque, instead having 5 doors, with the rear handles being hidden in the C pillar. The design is extremely aggressive, but still maintains the look of the refreshed 2011 C4, also set to be premiered in Paris.
No other details were revealed, except the possible engine lineup. There will most likely be three petrol units, a 120 HP 1.6-liter VTi, a 155 HP 1.6 THP and a 200 HP 1.6 THP. Two diesels will also be available, with e-HDi technology, capable of 110 and 160 HP, respectively.
Expect more details in the following weeks about the Citroen DS4 before its debut this October in Paris.

Citroen made a lot of heads turn at the Geneva Motor Show when it presented the DS High Rider concept, a preview for the future DS4 crossover that will no doubt appear sometime in the near future.
All we saw then were exterior shots. While we didn’t mind, seeing as how the DS High Rider was an attractive concept, a few interior photos wouldn’t have hurt our overall impression.
Now, the French carmaker decided to shed some light on the inside of the future DS4 and revealed a couple of interesting pictures. Why are they interesting? Because instead of going all futuristic and swoopy, these shots actually show an interior much closer to production.
We can also see some elements taken from the DS3 premium hatchback, which was already revealed, but thankfully the DS High Rider opts for a more distinguished feel rather than bright color inserts.
Word on the French street is that a production-ready model of the DS4 might arrive as soon as the Paris Motor Show, so until then you need to make due with the pictures revealed thus far.

Citroen decided to stop the teasing ahead of the Geneva Motor Show and unveiled the DS High Rider Concept model, which will be presented at the prestigious European convention.
The slightly crossover-ish model aims at previewing the future DS4 premium car, which is set to make an appearance at the beginning of 2011, after the new C4 lineup is revealed. As you can see, the styling is heavily borrowed from the new DS3 premium hatchback, itself an evolution of the new C3, and will target a slightly upmarket segment with its new technologies.
As you would expect, the production model will receive two extra doors, making it a hatchback, but might retain the elevated ride height and give the other upcoming models, like the Mini Countryman and the Nissan Juke, something to think about.
Last but not least, a hybrid version will appear at launch, according to Citroen, which will feature a diesel HDi engine, which will drive the front wheels, coupled with an electric motor that sends its power to the rear, effectively making it an four-wheel drive car.
You will be able to enjoy the DS High Rider concept this March in Geneva, while a production version of the actual DS4 model might appear this fall in Paris, before it is launched on the market at the beginning of 2011.

Citroen teases new DS4 concept
Besides preparing to launch the new DS3 premium hatchback, working on its performance edition, the DS3-R, and thinking about the DS5, Citroen has also started teasing the new DS4 concept it will premiere at the Geneva Motor Show this March.
The image above shows off not only the new style of grille, as well as a bigger take on the design of the DS3, but also a much higher ride height, in vein of what a crossover might have. A three-door look is featured in this teaser, and might hint at a possible rival from the dual-chevron brand for cars like the Nissan Qashqai, or the new Juke.
Nothing else is known at the moment about this new model, but following the current train of thought, it will offer a different experience than any other Citroen model, complete with premium technologies and accessories.
