Honda Jazz Si launched at Geneva show

At Honda’s stand this year in Geneva we’ve seen the limited edition Jazz Si which will be sold only in Europe. This Japanese supermini comes with a new aero package that brings prominent side skirts, new front and rear bumpers and 16-inch alloys wrapped around in low-profile sport tires. Inside it has a leather-trimmed 3-spoke steering wheel, new sport seats, new gearshift lever – all of them having silver stitching.

Aside from look better than the standard version, the Jazz Si comes with an uprated chassis, having new dampers, a bigger front anti-roll bar which should improve body control and straight-line stability, along with an updated electric power steering system that offers a better response and feel.

Under the hood is the company’s 1.4-liter i-VTEC engine that produces 99 hp (100 PS) which is linked to a 5-speed manual transmission that enables the Jazz Si to hit a top speed of 113 mph (182 km/h).

This special edition of the Honda Jazz is scheduled to go on sale towards the end of this August.

Renault announces Clio RS Red Bull Racing RB7

The French automaker Renault has introduced a special edition of the hot Clio RS model called Red Bull Racing RB7. The car is wearing a Profond Black exterior with Sirius Yellow accents, Red Bull badging and a checkered roof decal. It sits on 18-inch alloys wrapped around in Bridgestone RE050A tires. Inside the cabin it comes with Recaro sport seats, R.S. Monitor which can show performance-related data, along with an individually-numbered plaque.

At the heart of this special edition Clio RS is a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter engine that generates 200 hp (203 PS / 149 kW) and a peak torque of 159 lb.-ft (215 Nm). The car is able to hit 62 mph from start in 6.9 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 140 mph (225 km/h).

The car is going to be sold in five countries: France, Austria, Spain, Belgium and Switzerland, with prices starting from 27,900 Euros.

Special edition Renault Twingo Mauboussin launched

Who knew that you could celebrate Valentine’s Day with a special edition car? Renault has thought to do this when they rolled out this Twingo Mauboussin which has been named after the French Mauboussin jeweler. The car comes with Dark Gunmetal Pirate alloys, a Tourmaline Brown metallic paintwork, along with a bunch of Mauboussin decals.

Inside the cabin of this special edition Twingo there are cloth / leather seats, bespoke floor mats, unique trim and the usual Mauboussin badging just so you don’t forget how special your car really is. Those who decide to get this model will also get a Mauboussin pendant watch.

This tiny car can be powered by either a small 1.2-liter 16V eco2 engine that pumps out 74 hp (75 PS / 55 kW) or a dCi 85 eco2 unit.

The pricing for the Renault Twingo Mauboussin starts in France from 13,500 Euros (including VAT). It is available also in Austria, Italy and Morocco.

Jaguar XK Artisan SE launched

Jaguar has introduced a special version of the XK model dubbed Artisan SE for both the coupe and convertible models. The most significant modifications can be seen inside the car where we notice the “scraffito” leather for the front seats, door and rear quarter casings, instrument binnacle, along with two new veneer finishes and leather headlinings.

Some of the standard features of the Jaguar XK Artisan SE include 16 by 16-way adjustable heated seats, a 522W Bowers & Wilkins sound system, keyless entry/start and a heated steering wheel. In addition, this version of the XK comes with exclusive hood and interior color options, along with stainless steel pedals and treadplates.

The car rides on 20-inch alloy wheels that have a new design, and clients will be able to get the XK with a Celestial Black exclusive color. The V8 5.0-liter engine has remained the same which means that it is capable of generating 385 hp.

The coupe version of the Jaguar XK Artisan SE starts from 77,350 pounds while the convertible begins at 82,500 pounds.

Toyota launches two Aygo special editions

The Japanese automaker Toyota has unveiled two special editions of the Aygo, known as Fire and Ice. Both cars are motivated by the company’s updated 1.0-liter VVT-I gasoline engine that manages to return 65.7 mpg UK and has CO2 emissions of 99 g/km.

The Toyota Aygo Fire comes with 14-inch alloy wheels, tinted windows, LED daytime running lights and leather steering wheel and gear knob. Clients are able to get their Aygo with a new Burnt Orange exterior paint.

As far as the Ice version is concerned, this brings updates to the Aygo’s interior where we find Alcantara and leather trim, air conditioning, USB port and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Aygo Fire starts from 9,595 pounds for the 3-door model that comes with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the top-spec, 5-door Aygo with the company’s Multimode transmissions has a base price of 10,750 pounds.

The Toyota Aygo Ice starts from 9,895 pounds while the most expensive model will set you back at least 10,750 pounds.

Both versions of the Aygo are going to be available starting with next month.

Geneva Preview – Jeep Wrangler Mountain Special Edition

Set to debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show, the Jeep Wrangler Mountain special edition has been designed to “stand out” and comes with a Mineral Gray grille, hood decals and a black fuel-filler door. It also comes with side steps and rides on 17-inch alloys. Inside the cabin nothing much has changed, except for the fabric seats with embroidered mountain logos and the slush mats.

Clients will be able to get this Jeep Wrangler Mountain Special Edition with one of the following two engines: a 2.8-liter turbodiesel unit that develops 197 hp (200 PS / 147 kW) and a peak torque of 339 lb.-ft (460 Nm), along with a more powerful 3.6-liter V6 engine that is capable of producing 280 hp (284 PS / 209 kW) and 256 lb.-ft (347 Nm) of torque.

Mazda MX-5 Venture Edition introduced

Yet another special edition of the MX-5 has been launched by Mazda and this one is called the Venture Edition. It is available as a roadster coupe or as a soft-top convertible and comes with new exclusive colors, upgraded specifications and new interior trim.

This special edition of the Miata is based on the MX-5 SE and Sport Tech models and can be ordered by clients in either the 1.8 MZR Soft-top (SE) variant or the 2.0 MZR Roadster Coupe (Sport Tech), both featuring more standard equipment in comparison to the regular versions.

Some of the extra goodies include 17-inch alloys that have a gun metal finish, chrome front grille, front fog lights, piano black fashion bars and of course, the usual “Venture Edition” badging so that you won’t forget that you have a special version of the MX-5.

Inside the cabin we find a steering wheel wrapped around in leather, Havana Brown heated leather seats, leather hand brake with grey stitching, climate control, matching door trim, satellite navigation (a first time for the model) and alloy pedals. The new Sanyo TomTom sat-nav system comes with a 5.8-inch fully integrated touchscreen, along with Bluetooth and iPod connectivity.

Clients will be able to choose from one of the following three colors: Crystal White Pearlescent, Radiant Ebony Mica and Metropolitan Grey Mica. The first two colors are available only on this special edition MX-5.

Mazda said that they will be delivering only 250 units of the soft-top and another 550 units of the roadster for the United Kingdom market, with prices starting from 18,995 pounds for the 1.8 variant and from 22,285 pounds for the more powerful 2.0 version.

Opel Corsa Kaleidoscope Edition arrives in Europe

The German automaker Opel has introduced a special edition of the Corsa model for the European market. This Kaleidoscope Edition of the supermini can be ordered with a choice of two exclusive metallic exterior colors named technical grey and pepperdust. Both of these exterior finishes are combined with black mirror housings, a glossy black roof and a black grille frame. The car also features chrome exhaust pipes and 17-inch alloys.

Inside the cabin of the Opel Corsa Kaleidoscope Edition the company’s designers have added more color, as the door inserts and the air vent rings are available in either matt chrome or curry, while denim fabric was used for trimming the door panels. The look is completed by the steering wheel wrapped around in leather and also the various seat fabrics with aztek gold or silver stitching.

This special edition of the Corsa can be ordered for both the 3- and 5-door versions of the car and it comes with the usual engines that you can get with the standard model, including here a tiny 1.2-liter ecoFLEX gasoline unit that generates 70 PS and has a fuel consumption of only 5.1 liters / 100 km. Also available is a 1.3-liter CDTi diesel that pumps out 75 PS and has a fuel consumption of 4 liters / 100 km, while the more powerful 1.6-liter Turbo gasoline unit churns 150 hp. As for the transmissions available, you get to choose from 5 and 6-gear manual gearboxes, an automatic transmission and also a 5-gear easytronic, depending on the engine choice.

The starting price in Germany for this Opel Corsa Kaleidoscope model is 15,425 Euros (approximately $20,100) including all those nasty taxes.

Smart unveils ForTwo Sharpred Edition

As if there weren’t enough special editions of the ForTwo, Smart decided to launch yet another limited edition of the tiny car which is known as the Sharpred Edition. It is available for the coupe and convertible models and comes with a black exterior with red paint on the mirrors and on the tridion safety cell. Other than that, it has a black grille and rides on 15-inch rims that have a brilliant black finish.

As far as the interior is concerned, not much has changed in comparison to the standard edition, except for the bespoke floor mats, red contrast stitching and black leather seats.

Under the hood there’s a 3-cylinder 1.0-liter gasoline engine that pumps out 70 hp (71 PS / 52 kW) and 83 hp (84 PS / 62 kW).

Smart said that they’ll make only 1,800 units of the ForTwo Sharpred Edition and each of them will have a base price in Germany of 14,490 Euros, including 19% VAT.

Range Rover gets three special editions

The current generation of the Range Rover has reached its 10^th anniversary and for this occasion the British automaker Land Rover has decided to launch not one, but three special editions of the popular SUV. Most likely these can be considered as the last hurrah before the next generation of the Range Rover will make its debut this summer.

The 4.4 TDV8 Vogue and Vogue SE models will be replaced by the Westminster edition in March when it will hit the dealerships at a starting price of 69,995 pounds. The car features a bespoke “Noble” finish for the side vents and the front grille, along with a new design for the 20-inch alloy wheels. Aside from these, the SUV will also feature special Westminster badging.

Inside the cabin of this edition we notice the Grand Black trim and special carpets. This Range Rover also gets heated and cooled seats, as well as an upgraded audio system. Clients will be able to choose from one of the seven exterior paint finishes and one of the five interior trim themes.

Both the 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography and the 5.0 V8 Supercharged Autobiography specials will feature the Range Rover Design Pack in the standard configuration. The front and rear bumpers get a look, while the front grille adopts a “Titan” theme. Both versions will be riding on 20-inch alloy wheels that are finished in Shadow Chrome.

Inside the cabin of these two special editions of the Range Rover there will be the Seat Style pack as standard which means that the rear seats are heated + cooled, plus they can recline. Aside from this, the seats come with lumbar adjustment, while the front passenger seat can be adjusted forward in order to improve the rear legroom.

The price for the TDV8 model will start from 84,295 pounds, while the more powerful Supercharged model has a base price of 86,896 pounds.

2012 Mazda MX-5 Miata Roadster Special Edition

Next week at the Chicago Auto Show, the Japanese automaker Mazda will be bringing a special edition of the popular MX-5 Miata which will feature a Power Retractable Hard Top (PRHT) that has a black finish. This is a novelty for the model because it will be for the very first time in the car’s history when the color of the top does not match the one applied on the bodywork.

This special version of the Miata will be available with a choice of two new exterior colors, along with a bunch of black exterior accents, a new set of 17-inch black gunmetal alloys, piano black interior finishes and black heater leather seats.

Aside from this model, Mazda will also be bringing to Chicago the Star Mazda Championship Open-Wheel Race Car, a first generation 1990 Mazda Miata, the Dempsey Racing No. 4 GRAND-AM Road Racing Race Car and the Mazda Turbo2 Concept that we’ve first seen last November at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.

Limited edition SsangYong Korando LE announced

Limited to only 150 units, the SsangYong Korando LE is a special edition of the Volkswagen Tiguan-sized SUV and brings additional goodies as standard. In addition, it is offered with a new finance deal and 5-years free services. The car is available in Space Black, Vitamin Red and Grand White exterior color finishes.

The only engine offered for this version is a 2.0-liter diesel unit that pumps out 173 hp and has CO2 emissions of 157 g/km. It comes with a bunch of goodies like 18-inch alloys, privacy glass and a rear spoiler on the exterior, while inside it packs cruise control, heated front seats, parking sensors and leather-wrapped gearlever and steering wheel.

The car costs 17,995 pounds while the 4.5% APR finance deal is based on 60-month payments of 259 pounds with a deposit of 3,744.78 pounds. Those who opt for this version of the Korando also get a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty and also five years of free servicing.

Mini Highgate Convertible announced

This would have to be yet another special edition launched by Mini, this time for the convertible model. Dubbed the “Highgate”, it will be available with a choice of four engines, the 122 hp Cooper, the 184 hp Cooper S, along with the more frugal 112 hp Cooper D and the 143 hp Cooper SD. All engines are mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard or an optional automatic transmission that sends the power to the front wheels.

Design-wise, the Mini Highgate Convertible is wearing a Iced Chocolate metallic finish and comes with brown/black hood stripes with blue edging. It also has a brown soft-top and Double Cross light alloy wheels that measure 17 inches. The car is also available with a White Silver or a Midnight Black metallic paint.

This theme is continued inside the car where we notice the leather seats that are finished in Dark Truffle with light blue piping and light contrast stitching. Aside from these, this special edition of the Mini comes with a chrome line interior package, suntouched brushed alloy interior trim elements and stainless steel pedals.

The car is scheduled  to go on sale this April at a price tag yet to be announced.

This would have to be yet another special edition of the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport. Wearing the “Bumblebee” designation, this is a  black and yellow themed edition of the fastest car in the world. The car is scheduled to make its debut today at the 2012 Qatar Motor Show.

This version of the Grand Sport comes with a horizontal color split with a very bright yellow body that is encased in black carbon. Bugatti applied the same theme for the interior where we notice the yellow-colored leather that covers the upper and lower sections of the door panels as well as on the dashboard.

As for the center console, this one has a black carbon finish, while its middle sections of the dashboard, along with the steering wheel, door panels and the gearshift are covered in high quality black leather with yellow stitching.

As you probably remember, the standard version of the Veyron Grand Sport costs $1.8 million while this special edition costs a whopping $2.05 million, without taking into consideration taxes and delivery fees. Bugatti mentioned that they’ll make only 150 units but you need to hurry because 45 of them have already been ordered.

Germany gets Land Rover Defender Blaster Edition

Land Rover Defender Blaser Edition

The British automaker Land Rover has introduced a special edition of the legendary Defender model which will be limited to only 60 units. This Blaster Edition is based on the Defender 110 SE double cab model and comes painted in Keswick Green. Among its most noticeable goodies, we notice the trailer hitch, an expedition roof rack, a snorkel air intake, an electric winch, black leather seats and a rear spot light.

There’s also a custom fitted gun case built into the cargo area which is capable of accommodating up to five rifles. In the case’s bottom there are two drawers for ammunition as well as other types of small gear.

Land Rover Defender Blaser Edition

The Land Rover Defender Blaster Edition is motivated by a 2.2-liter turbo diesel Euro-5 compliant engine that has a particulate filter. This power unit develops 122 hp (90 kW) and has a peak torque of 266 lb.-ft (360 Nm).

The car will make its official debut this month at the largest trade fair for hunting and fishing in Europe which will be organized in Dortmund from January 31^st, before going on sale in the following period for 49,500 euros.
