Porsche has decided to roll out a teaser for its highly anticipated next generation of the very popular 911 (991) which will make its official debut later on this year, probably at the Frankfurt Motor Show which will occur this September. This clip was recorded somewhere in South Africa and offers us a glimpse on what to expect from the new 911.

As a reminder, the Carrera S version is going to be powered by a 400 HP engine while the standard Carrera is going to share its 3.4-liter (350 hp) with the Boxster S model. Customers will be able to choose from one of the two transmissions available, a 7-speed PDK and my personal favorite, a 7-speed manual. For both transmissions the German supercar maker will offer the Launch Control.

The 2012 Porsche 911 is going to be 2.5 inches wider than the outgoing model and it will also have a 4 inches longer wheelbase. This longer wheelbase will accommodate the future HYBRID drivetrain which will be out sometime in 2016 when the mid-cycle refresh will arrive. The new 911 promises to be 12-15% more fuel efficient than the model it replaces and it is going to get an electronic parking brake as well as a full-length sunroof.

As standard, the 911 Carrera is going to ride on 19-inch rims, while the Carrera S gets 20-inch alloys. Buyers can opt for the optional 20 inch alloy wheels for the standard Carrera model.

At the beginning of this week BMW released a teaser video of the 5th generation BMW M5 (F10M) sedan. According to previous reports, the automaker will bring an M5 concept next month at the Shanghai Auto Show and judging by this teaser/preview video, there are strong chances that this could happen, although it could be mixed signals for the 5-Series New Energy Vehicle coming through. If the M5 will not make an appearance in Shanghai, our money is on the Frankfurt Motor Show which will be held in September.

The 2012 BMW M5 will be powered by the same twin-turbo V8 4.4-liter engine that can be found in the X5 M and the X6 M, but it will output 592 hp (600 PS / 441 kW), in comparison to the SAV’s 547 hp (555 PS / 408 kW). This engine will be mated to a 7-speed DCT dual clutch gearbox featuring three shift programs, along with the fully automatic mode.

Our colleges over at Evo Magazine managed to test one of the prototypes and they’ve said that the steering, suspension and drivetrain have three modes: comfort, plus and sport-plus. The M Driving Mode (MDM) raises the threshold of DSC intervention, suitable for those drivers that prefer more control but still want some backup. Of course, for those of you that want full control, all of the driving aids can be turned off.

Lamborghini has released yet another teaser shot, presumably for the replacement of the current top of the range Murcielago supercar. The Jota, as it might be named, has also received a few details in a dedicated press release from Lamborghini.

According to it, the Italian supercar manufacturer will follow a new philosophy with the next model. Instead of focusing on squeezing as much power out of the engine, Lamborghini will emphasize a low weight, which in turn will benefit the handling and the acceleration.

You might remember this strategy from the beginning of the year, when Lamborghini said that with the use of new carbon fiber materials, its future cars will outperform rivals, even though the power output won’t be as high.

Either way, we’re very excited about this new Lambo model, but we still need to endure the wait until the Paris Motor Show starts at the end of the month.

After a huge amount of speculation, it seems that the all-new Chrysler 200 will replace the aging Sebring from the carmaker’s lineup.

The company has just started teasing us with a few shots depicting various elements of the new luxury sedan. As you can clearly see, the model is based on the 200C concept we saw a few years ago, but will tone it down and replace the electric powertrain with a conventional one.

According to the details revealed up until now, the base Chrysler 200 will sport a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, which can be had with either a four- or a six-speed automatic. Those that want more power can upgrade to the already ubiquitous 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, rated at 283 HP and 263 lb-ft of torque. This unit will only be had with the six-speed automatic.

Expect more details and teaser shots in the following days, but Chrysler fans can already start celebrating the demise of the Sebring.

It seems that slow teasers that reveal parts of new cars are so 2009, as for the upcoming Paris Motor Show, BMW has taken viral marketing to a whole new level.

The German company recently launched a new website called DontBlogAboutThis, in which a special type of BMW 6 Series is showcased with stickers on it.

While the website only shows brief part of the car, there’s also a video showing the 6 Series in motion, but the distinct sound of an internal combustion engine is apparently absent. Also, as you can see below, it is equipped with special wheels as seen on hybrid or electric models.

Another photo was revealed afterwards, showcasing that we may be dealing with a very special type of BMW. While from the back it looks like a regular 6 Series, the front, as you can see above in a brightened version, appears to be that of the Vision EfficientDynamics hybrid show car.

Frankly, our guess is as good as yours. All will be revealed at the Paris Motor Show though. Hit the jump to see the two videos of this mysterious BMW in action.

Lamborghini remembered that it started a teaser campaign a few months ago, and now, as the Paris Motor Show will open its doors at the end of the month, a new photo has been revealed, detailing a new supercar from the Italian company.

According to all reports up until now, this will be the fabled Lamborghini Jota, which will replace the aging Murcielago from the top of the Lambo range. The model was first introduced in 2001, and a vast array of improved or special editions followed up until now, culminating with the Murcielago LP670-4 Super Veloce.

Previous reports say that the replacement will develop around 700 HP and deliver extreme performance, but nothing concrete is known at this moment.

Top Gear USA, the Yankee version of the famous British car show is shaping up to be rather interesting, to say the least.

We’ve already seen a trailer depicting some of the stunts and cars the three hosts, Adam Ferrara, Rutledge Wood and Tanner Foust, will be driving in the first series of the show.

Now, the History Channel has provided a sneak peek at Top Gear USA’s Lamborghini special, where the guys will drive a Murcielago LP 670-4 Super Veloce, a Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera and a Gallardo LP 550-2 Balboni.

Needless to say, you should check out the video after the jump to see this impressive sneak peak at Top Gear USA.

BMW has started slowly hyping up the upcoming 1 Series M Coupe performance model.

This time though, we aren’t treated with camouflaged prototypes or other such things, but with a slow, striptease-like reveal, which will showcase different parts of the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe over a period of time.

The first parts of the powerful model have already seen the light of day. As you can see above, the impressive sports wheels and the revised fender do make an appearance. We’re also treated with the twin, dual-pipe exhaust system in the rear, as well as with a ducktail spoiler making its presence felt under the black wrap.

Hopefully the stripping of the 2011 BMW 1 Series M Coupe won’t be slower than a snail, and we’ll get to see the full car as soon as possible. Check out a video of the reveal after the jump.

As we’re sure most of you know by now, Ford is investing heavily in establishing the 2011 Explorer SUV on Facebook. As such, it revealed a few weeks ago that if it will get 30,000 fans (likes, actually) on its Facebook page, it will organize a sweepstakes and give away one of the brand new SUVs.

Now, that goal has been reached. While no details have been revealed as of yet about the sweepstakes, the Blue Oval did reveal a brand new teaser photo of the 2011 Explorer.

As you can see above, the grille of the next generation SUV is pictured, alongside a bit of its headlight, a part which was revealed last week.

The official presentation of the next generation 2011 Ford Explorer SUV is scheduled on July 26. At that time, locations all around the USA, including New York, Chicago or Los Angeles will display the new model. The biggest celebration will be at the ‘Glass House’ showroom, right beside Ford’s HQ in Dearborn, Michigan.

After showcasing the Sportback concept all over the world, Audi has finally decided to launch a teaser website for its newest model, the A7.

As most of you probably know already, the A7 will be Audi’s push into the new four-door coupe segment, targeting the likes of the Mercedes-Benz CLS or the future production version of the BMW Gran Coupe concept.

Sadly, the teaser website doesn’t actually hint at anything we didn’t know already, showcasing just a few brief outlines, reminiscent of the Audi Sportback concept.

Still, it seems that the Audi Netherlands division jumped the gun a bit, as after just a few hours of being online, the site was shut down and is now inaccessible.

This is rather peculiar, as the A7 is set to be revealed in the following months, either at the Moscow Motor Show or at the Paris Motor Show, and will hit the market in November of this year. Luckily, the splash page of the website is up above.

Ford is practically torturing its fans with the Facebook page for the 2011 Ford Explorer SUV, as it has been slowly revealing teaser shots of the next generation SUV.

Now, we at least know when it will all end, as the new Blue Oval model will be presented to the public on July 26.

Until then, we are now treated with a shot of the headlight of the future 2011 Explorer, confirming what many already believed, that it will borrow cues from the existing Ford Fusion.

Still, perhaps Ford would’ve been better off starting this teaser campaign a bit later, as people aren’t that fond of waiting around and catching slivers of information every now and then. At least Facebook users might get a chance to win a 2011 Explorer if they’re lucky.

BMW is definitely fond of teasing its announcements, as it has just started a new campaign, hinting at some sort of new version, based on the M3 performance model.

As you can see above and below, the two shots tease a new variant of the M3, sporting 19-inch wheels, possibly from the recent Competition Package, plus other features. The interior photo hints at some sort of automatic transmission.

The current M3 is already available in sedan, coupe and convertible edition, plus the high performance GTS was already revealed some time ago.

The car is set to be revealed at the end of the week, when BMW will make the official announcement of this new model. Until then, let the speculation (M3 wagon?!) continue.

Even though the Paris Motor Show is quite a few months away, carmakers are already teasing their big premieres. While Citroen fully revealed its new 2011 C4 yesterday, BMW is taking its time with the 2011 X3 crossover.

Lamborghini is following in the footsteps of the Bavarian company, and released a single image through which it teases the replacement of the Murcielago supercar.

From what anyone can tell, it seems that the car is ‘confirmed’ to have a bonnet, one with the Lamborghini logo on it, just to be sure.

Anyway, rumors have been flying around since like forever about this replacement, presumably named the Jota. From an even more powerful V12 to an even lighter body, the new model is speculated to have the best of the best of what Lamborghini has to offer.

Seeing as how the Murcielago became extremely popular and received a plethora of special versions and editions, its replacement has some big shoes/wheels to fill.

The upcoming Paris Motor Show may be a full 5 months away, but that hasn’t stopped BMW from teasing one of the models it will premiere in the French capital, the 2011 X3 crossover.

So far, we only have a couple of shots with the hood and the rear taillight. From what we can tell, a lot of the styling cues from the 2011 5 Series, the 5 GT and the refreshed 3 Series are making an appearance on this new model.

The taillight reminds us of a cross between the 5 GT, the X1 and the X5. LED technology does seem to be incorporated, as is usual on all new BMW models. The hood also sports some of the new lines we saw on other refreshed models from the Bavarian brand.

Expect an array of technologies from under the EfficientDynamics logo, as well as several potent yet nature-friendly engines to make an appearance on the 2011 BMW X3. Until its Paris debut though, fans will have to take it slowly.

Chevrolet is trying to gather the hype around its newest muscle car variant, the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, by releasing two teaser photos of the new open-top car on its Facebook page.

The Camaro has been fiercely fighting with the Ford Mustang, but it couldn’t compete, up until now, with the convertible edition of the ‘Stang. That will change at the beginning of 2011, when the Oshawa plant will begin producing the convertible Camaro.

No other concrete details are known, but you can expect all the regular things that will appear on the 2011 Camaro to also grace this folding cloth top variant. Enjoy the two photos and while you’re still on Facebook, don’t forget to become a fan of our website.
