Even though it has made a lot of heads turn when it revealed the 16C Galibier, Bugatti insists that it is only a concept study and one of the many paths it is considering once the popular Veyron will end its life cycle in 2012.
For those of you who don’t know, the super-super-sedan (because let’s face it, nothing can touch it), is powered by the same massive 8-liter W16 engine as the Veyron, but has four doors, four-wheel drive and new systems like a suspension and braking one.
Rumored to enter production in 2013, Bugatti still plays it cool and says it will release a few other concepts in the following months, while waiting for Volkswagen’s permission to pursue one of them. You should remember that even though the Veyron was popular with its price tag well over $1 million, Bugatti still produced it at a lost, according to some voices, costing Volkswagen quite a lot of money.
Concept or not, I’m sure plenty of rich people would gladly pay any amount of money in order to have such a car in their garage. More details will be posted as soon as they arrive.
