In a press release made yesterday, Ford announced that it will add more features for its Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy customers. One of these new features will be the new 2.2 liter Duratorq TDCi diesel engine, the most powerful diesel made available by Ford of Europe. The engine, developed in cooperation with PSA Peugeot Citroën, produces 175 hp at 3,500 rpm and 400 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. The engine, equipped with Diesel Particulate Filter, is Euro IV compliant, and, equipped with this engine, the Mondeo, S-MAX and Galaxy models emit 165, 176 and 179 g/km of CO2.
In addition to that, the Mondeo and the S-Max will also get a new Titanium S version, which will include both new interior and exterior features, like a new full body styling kit, lowered suspension and Ford’s enhanced Adaptive Front lighting System (AFS), while the interior will have soft-touch surfaces to key contact areas and the use of piano black and brushed aluminium surfaces.
A Titanium version will also be available for the Ford Galaxy, which, besides chrome exterior styling, will get new features, like automatic headlights, automatic wipers with rain sensor, ‘Quickclear’ heated front windscreen, Cruise Control, power operated and heated door mirrors with puddle lamps and rear air conditioning.
