travis pastrana –

This is the debut of Travis Apstrana’s new Subaru WRX for the next X-Games. The video is clearly the answer to Ken Block’s revealing of his WRC Ford Fiesta in which sexy cheerleaders appear. How did Pastrana choose to do this? By using his personal set of “cheerleader”, only that their combined age is of 199.

Even if on some levels this video is a little bit disturbing, the parody is quite good and amusing. If this is Travis Pastrana’s start, who knows what he will come up with in the next months, when he will reveal his heavy arsenal.

While most of us were out partying, enjoying the New Year’s Eve with friends, one guy was preparing to do one of the craziest stunts in his car: Travis Pastrana.

I’m sure some of you got to see the stunt live on ESPN, or managed to check out our own story about it which included the video, but now a batch of new footage appeared, showing a behind-the-scenes look at the stunt achieved by Pastrana in his rally-spec Subaru Impreza WRX STI.

It includes everything from the practice, which saw a pretty nasty crash by the driver, and the New Year’s stunt. Hit the jump like Pastrana and watch the video.

As we revealed a few months ago, rally car driver Travis Pastrana was preparing to welcome 2010 with a huge bang, and planned to attempt a record-breaking jump in his Subaru Impreza WRX STI rally car.

While confidence was high, previous practice jumps didn’t really go according to plan. Did he make it? You’re going to have to hit the jump to find out, and then ponder on how your New Year’s experience compared to Pastrana’s.

In yet another death-defying jump organized by Red Bull, reputed stunt and rally driver Travis Pastrana will jump a rally-spec Subaru Impreza WRX STi from a pier in Long Beach, California, and attempt to cross over 250 feet of open water in order to land on a barge anchored in the ocean.

The stunt will be part of Red Bull’s New Year, No Limits series of events, and will also be a world record breaking attempt of jumping in a rally car. The current record is held by none other than Pastrana’s teammate, Ken Block, which jumped 171 feet.

“It ought to be a pretty cool thing. I just hope they get me back to the party after I land on the barge,” Pastrana revealed in an interview. “Even more, I hope I’m not swimming. I’ve been a pretty good boy. I’ve been out of the water since then. Hopefully I’ll stay out of the water this time.”

All we can do is tune in at New Year on ESPN, which will be on the scene with live reports of the stunt. Hopefully everything will go alright and Pastrana will continue to amaze us with other record attempts.
