Video: Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo gets California stuck in the sand at Ferrari event |

Even if you might lead one of the most popular sportscar manufacturers in the world, this doesn’t mean that you are extremely qualified in handling them.

That’s the case with Ferrari chairman Luca di Montezemolo, which offered to drive around the new drivers of the official Italian Formula 1 team, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa, around the track in a brand new Ferrari California.

Everything was going according to plan when he decided to go on the sand with the California. It seems that he wasn’t aware that the sand located outside of the racing track was designed to slow down cars if they went off track and prevent any crashes.

Needless to say, the car got stuck, and even if the two Ferrari drivers and various other assistants tried to help, it remained there. Hit the jump to see the video of how it all went down.
